Since we used my eggs and my age is well, *mature* for baby making it was not surprising that our triple marker test came back unfavourable. On April 11, Dr Vandana did a level two scan and noted all 140 critical markers were normal. I detailed this in this weeks update on thenextfamily.com
This was a scary time in our pregnancy, but the discussions with Dr Shivani and her advice was beyond comforting.
We are in the final days countdown...35 days if all was normal, so more like less than 20 for us. LESS THAN 20!!! It is all very exciting and a tad overwhelming. We bought what we think is the perfect sling for us which you can see here: http://www.bluecelery.com/sling.html It grows with the baby so that was a key selling feature for us. Mark installed the car seats on the weekend (with the help of Bo)and we will make a pit stop at the police or fire department for inspection. We have all our paperwork organized (I think) , visa's issued, tickets bought and accommodation booked. Baby is packed and has been checked and re-checked a few times. We will start our own packing over the next few days and hope and pray Alan does not make us pack in a rush!! We have mostly neutrals for the baby, and a few precious boy and girl outfits (all donated to us from very special supporters). We cannot wait to finally see our baby. We just hope he/she is healthy and ready for the exit process ride of a life time.
