Update day 2 in Delhi

Last night we did not sleep, it sucks to deal with the time change! Needless to say, today was a write off.  We just cruised the market looking at diapers and all stuff baby in case we need to buy anything.  We had a great Indian lunch of butter chicken, aloo gobi and butter naan - we will see how this settles in our gut over the next 24 hours.
We also got to meet up with Dr Shivani to discuss the cord issue. It always great to see her smiling face and hear her words of wisdom!  She is not worried and when I mentioned the heart rate had dropped she laughed at me finding something to stress about!  We got to see the new offices which are super sharp!

We were also given a LOVELY surprise gift from Bernadette and Duane - three adorable onsies and a beautiful card!  Thank you so much you two, so not expected and very generous!  Here are two pics from inside the SCI offices:

Also viewed all the wonderful cards and pictures displayed at the office - most of these babies were familiar to me and what a wonderful feeling to be so close to it all!

Now, as far as Alan goes - we will have a scan with Sumita on Tuesday and see where the cord is and take it from there, so unless Sumita goes into labour before then we will not have any baby updates!  Looks like next week will be our week...stay tuned!

Also forgot to mention that we had a roommate for the first two nights...a wee tiny mouse!  The little thing would run across the laptop, up the satellite cables and through a hole in the wall to outside!  Hariz and Rama came in an tapped up the holes where the TV cables go outside and that seems to have taken care of our little intruder!

  6. Kerrie, I too would be concerned about heartbeat but not as worried about cord involvement. I am sure they check her weekly and if anything is off at all they will have her come in. As long as the cord is twisted once only I don't think that causes issues unless it is around the neck as the baby descends and then C Section is looked at. Plenty of babies have cord around their neck when they come out. I can't wait til this baby is born and all of us following can settle back into our seats. I want daily updates.:)

  8. I'm thinking it's gonna be the 17th. How long are you in town for and where are you staying this trip? It sounds like you're close to some good, safe walking and shopping areas in town. I haven't heard much about the accomodations outside of Margarida's posts from last year.

  10. I would selfishly want Alan to come along on the 20th (my birthday) but I just want Alan to come along now, not because of anything bad but because your surro goes into labor naturally and all is well. You both look great in the pictures and love the onesies. I miss butter naan!
    Love ya, take care
