Trick or Treating:
The day after Halloween the community we live in hosted the first ever Pumpkin Parade. All families in the neighborhood were asked to deliver their carved pumpkin to the park behind out house before 6pm. At 7 pm all the pumpkins were lined up and lit up. What a site! There were 1,000 pumpkins line up along a walking path. The community came together to enjoy each pumpkin. The kids ran around and had great fun and the community group offered up hot chocolate. We enjoyed this evening with friends and their two boys. This was the first time the neighborhood had a pumpkin parade, and it appears that the success of it means we get to enjoy it again next year,.

As previously mentioned, Cailyn and Lily are enrolled in Dancing Machines. My super shy girl struggled with the dance drop offs but now is a champ and is first in line at the studio door. Dance has helped to break down some of Cailyn's inhibitions and allowed her to grow a level of independence. She looks forward to dance every week and the tutu du jour as well. I think Santa has two tutu's for Cailyn's stocking to add to her girly array.
Mark bought an electric car in June and we have been enjoying it. Cailyn likes it and thinks its pretty cool to plug in daddy's car. She still prefers my SUV as it is higher up and the view is better.
In Novemebr, we returned to Little RoseBuds Photography to have a family shoot. Miss Cailyn refused to allow me to touch her hair for this, so, we managed to get some beautiful pictures of Cailyn with her "everyday" crazy hair.
Now we are in December and all things Christmas are exciting. Santa is a mystery - he is exciting and terrifying.
This years pics again include Mark and I as Cailyn was to afraid to go by herself. I was not prepared to be photographed again - you would think that last years experience would have taught me something...
Despite the girls/elves behind the camera, there was no distracting Cailyn. After the whole ordeal Cailyn spoke of the experience as such a positive one and how excited she was to meet Santa! Crazy kid!
We are blessed daily. Huge cuteness factor is when she tells perfect strangers that she is Indian. Its a riot and we let her have her moment of glory. She is a proud Indian girl :) She recently went to a Sikh temple for a Paath for Lily's little sister. Even Lily told everyone that her "Indian" friend was coming. There was a cute level of confusion when Cailyn arrived and is clearly not Indian. Like I said, it is a riot and we love her passion for India. She is well aware of being Canadian, however, she enjoys playing up the "born in India" part of her life.
